Interactive Tuner

Select an input device, start the live tuner, and use the note, frequency, needle, and cents readout to bring the signal onto the reference pitch.

Start the input you want to tune

  1. Choose the microphone or input device and start listening.
  2. Play one sustained note and wait for the detected note and frequency to settle.
  3. Adjust the instrument until the needle centers, then stop the input when finished.

From microphone input to a stable pitch

Choose the input device

The meter is meaningful only when the selected input is receiving a clean signal; check the input level before judging the needle.

Read note, frequency, and cents

Reference A and input inertia change the response, not the target pitch: use inertia for a steadier or faster display and A for a different calibration.
