Choose key and length
The cantus is the fixed musical context; length, key, and generation settings determine the space in which the counterpoint can move.
Generate the counterpoint
Use the rule report as a prompt for revision: a technically valid line still needs balanced motion, audible independence, and a convincing cadence.
