RunFormula Studio

Build, run, inspect, and hear formula-driven lines against tones, exact Chords/scales, instruments, or complete Harmony timelines.

Run a formula against musical context

Turn formula grammar into playable musical lines

Use the studio as a complete formula workbench: choose a preset or write DSL, define its musical context, constrain the output, then inspect and hear the exact controller result.

Choose a preset or write the rule

  1. Choose a preset or write a formula, then keep the musical context and output constraints visible while building the graph.
  2. Connect modules in the graph and inspect the generated line before auditioning it.
  3. Change one rule or context value, run again, and compare the exact controller output rather than only the visual graph.

Formula graph

Connect, merge, and combine

Connect typed blocks, merge sequences, combine voices, route bass and solo parts across HarmonyEvents, and compile the result as RunFormula DSL.

Select a formula to draw it on the graph.
Required by HE(...) to run every voice across the chord events.
Edit the formula text, then draw it as connected blocks. Apply graph to DSL writes graph changes back here.
1 Connect ports to build a chain. 2 Select terminal blocks and merge them into one sequence. 3 Select terminal blocks and combine them as parallel voices.
Run a formula against musical context

From a rule to an audible result

Define the musical context

RunFormula is a formula graph: presets and DSL define transformations, while context and constraints keep the output musically bounded.

Constrain the generated material

The reliable result is the one that survives both inspection and listening. Treat the generated controller output as the final evidence.

Change one parameter and explain its musical effect

  • Choose a preset or write a formula, then keep the musical context and output constraints visible while building the graph.
  • Connect modules in the graph and inspect the generated line before auditioning it.
  • Change one rule or context value, run again, and compare the exact controller output rather than only the visual graph.
Advanced audio
Manage track sounds, mixer controls, and audio devices.
RX

Choose a sound for each console strip and adjust its level, pan, and routing. Accompaniment controls are available for chord-grid playback.

Mixer
Multi-track engines
Route each generated JolyEngine track with the shared engine form while autoplay is active.
Graphical Options
